해운대 해수욕장이 전면에 위치하고 있어 전 객실의 해운대 조망이 양호하도록 설계하였으며, 필로티 공간을 두어 개방감과 연계성을 부여하였다. 도심 속 호텔과 휴양지형 콘도의 복합체로 계획된 해운대 9호텔은 Open Space 확보를 통해 휴식공간 및 Dynamic View를 제공하며, 해운대에 기능적, 공간적, 시각적인 특별성을 부여하는 랜드마크적 호텔로 계획되었다. 입면은 투명성과 반투명성을 표현하기 위한 장치로써 투명 유리와 함께 Graphic Printed Glass(Silk Screen)로 비규칙적인 패턴을 표현하였으며, 다양한 선형적 구조(Linear Framework with Interactions)와 Box들의 통합체인 Podium의 형태 구성은 각기 다른 높이의 필로티와 함께 구성되어 공중에 떠 있는 듯 강한 입체감을 주었다.
Facing the sea, all of the hotel rooms are designed to have a grand ocean view, and guests can enjoy a sense of openness and connectivity within the piloti space. Haeundae Hotel, planned to be a complex building serving as both an urban hotel and leisure condo, secures open space to provide both recreational spaces and dynamic views, and strives to become a landmark in Haeundae by providing a building with special, functional, spatial, and visual value. To express transparency and translucency onto the facade, irregular patterns were created with both transparent glass and graphic printed glass (silk screen). Along with the various lengths of pilotis, the linear frameworks of the building and the podium help cement the unique aesthetic of the building, while the inclusion of a large number of boxes gives a strong cubic effect and makes them appear as if they are floating up in the air.
